The Crews family acquired controlling interest of Wauchula State Bank in 1932 and today they are in their fourth generation of leadership. With the unification, customers are encouraged to update to the new Crews Bank & Trust app and to visit their local branch if they have questions.

The Crews family of banks is currently composed of four distinct banks — Charlotte State Bank & Trust, Crews Bank & Trust, Englewood Bank & Trust and Wauchula State Bank. Unification will bring the banks together as Crews Bank & Trust, ensuring consistency and enhancing services.

Crews Bank & Trust, based in Arcadia, DeSoto County, had $226.13 million in assets at the end of 2022, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data.

Crews Banking bought controlling interest in Englewood in 2004, making it a four-bank holding company. In 2010, fourth-generation Jake Crews IV joined Crews Banking as CEO, a position he continues to hold today.
